Noted Homoeopath and Educationist, Late Dr A.Y. Srinivasan was a visionary. He had a passion for Homoeopathy & Bio-Chemic System of Medicine and his pioneering contribution to sow a seed & to establish a modern Homoeopathic manufacturing unit at Bangalore to produce good quality medicines at affordable costs, are commendable.

Born in Mysore City, in the state of Karnataka, India, in an orthodox brahmin family, he grew up to secure a master’s degree in Arts and Law. He was fully convinced about the wonderful curative properties of Homoeopathy, which he could witness in a gradual and total wonderful recovery of his ailing mother, with the treatment from Dr H S N Roy, An Outstanding Homoeopath of yester Years. Thus, he decided to give up his lucrative legal profession and to embrace the Homoeopathic Profession out of passion for this great system. He later qualified to become a Homoeopath.

• He worked as a lecturer in Hahnemannian college of Homoeopathic Medicine at Bangalore.
• He founded the erstwhile, Bangalore Homoeopathic Medical College, Bangalore.
• He was the former President of the Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, Karnataka State Branch, for few years.
• He was elected as the President of the Karnataka Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Govt of Karnataka, Bangalore.
• He was the recipient of the prestigious HERF (Homoeopathic Educational & Research Foundation Award) National Award in the Year 1982, for his outstanding contribution to the research and overall development of Homoeopathy in the state of Karnataka.

Dr A Y Srinivasan had a very successful clinical practice apart from the above achievements.

He then started, with just two of his own Homoeopathic formulations, a manufacturing company named Bangalore Bio-Plasgens in the year 1987.

After his demise, his son, Dr A S Narayan took over the functioning of the company.

Dr A S Narayan, a qualified homoeopath, has been a part of Bangalore Bio-Plasgens since its inception. He witnessed the growth of Bangalore Bio-Plasgens from an idea into a Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical company and was involved closely in the fulfilment of his father’s ideas in the functioning of the company. Soon after his father’s demise, he took up the responsibility of taking the company forward.

He is the man, who played the pivotal role in transforming the company incredibly with his vison and strategic approach. He brought in new formulations, widened the company’s portfolio, and improved its infrastructure.

Dr A S Narayan is the prime mover for growth plans of the company. With him at the helm, Bangalore Bio-Plasgens, today, is engaged in developing, manufacturing and marketing a broad range of Homoeopathic products all over the country.

Dr A S Narayan, also has a very promising clinical practice since 37years in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Late Mr. A S Srinath was an engineer by education. He joined the company in the year 1999 on the invitation of his elder brother, Dr A S Narayan.

His relentless commitment ever since, made the company reach great heights. His positivity was infectious. His desire to persist, all the while keeping a smile on his face defines our company’s culture even today.

His contribution to the company is monumental & can not to be forgotten. He continues to be with us in spirit.

Dr Apoorva A Narayan, is a qualified Homoeopath, by profession. Having involved solely in her clinical practice for over six years, she decided to join her father and the company in 2022, to learn and gain expertise in all aspects of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Ever since, she is engaged in all the activities of the company and is the Head of Operations of Bangalore Bio-Plasgens.

Having set her foot into an already established business, her main focus would be to strengthen the brand’s presence in India and expand the business beyond our borders in the future.

Being the 3rd-Gen-Entreprenuer, she has started working towards making the company adapt to the digital world and aims at promoting the company online to cater to new-age customers.

Dr. Apoorva believes that the company has a bright future, considering developments such as the Indian Government’s inclination towards promoting Holistic wellness through AYUSH and the increasing acceptance of Homoeopathy among the country’s population.
